Extra Energy Administrators Chasing For Non-Existant Debt

Options
Hi,

Im hoping one of you could point me in the right direction.

I was with Extra energy until 09/2015, and after months of messing around I was sent and paid my final bill, settling my account.

Shortly after this they had billing problems and sent out another three or four bills, one of which ended up being sent to a debt collector.

At this point i proved to the DCA and Extra Energy that I had paid the final bill they sent me, and they confirmed via email that this was correct, and that my actual final bill had been deleted. the email confirmed that any bills after my f(now deleted) final one were incorrect, but that my account was cleared with zero balance.

Now I am being hassled by the administrators for Extra Energy for the balance of one of these incorrect bills. I have explained the situation over phone four times, a number of times over email and in writing to the address on the demand letter, but they insist that i still owe the amount - which is £25.

does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make them realise that the bill they are relying on is incorrect and that Extra Energy considered my account cleared?

They are chasing everyone I am in w similar situation there’s a whole thread here they are just bullies, they are now saying they aren’t administrators is the latest and are on their knees and begging me to pay they wouldn’t even prove there was a debt when I closed my account I was in credit which they refunded. Now dying there was an error and I owe them, I’m not paying they can prove it in court if need be
