How long does FTT Take?

This has been a bit of an ongoing saga but basically my LL didn't protect my deposit during the 6 years I stayed in that flat and then came up with a list of damages that I don't believe were true. She deducted what she saw fit and returned the remainder from her personal bank account without discussion.

I then gave her a chance to return what she deducted or I'd take her to a FTT for failure to protect deposit. She ignored that and attempted to justify her deductions so I applied for the FTT.

I got an email back saying that the FTT process has been approved and they will get back to me with a date and venue. However, that was around 5 weeks ago now and they're not responding to my emails asking for an update.

Does it normally take this long and I need to just keep waiting or should I keep pressuring them into giving me a date?

I just want this whole saga to be over with at this stage

Who advised you to go to FTT?

    * Deposits: payment, protection and return

Form N208A provides guidance on completing the form.
If you prefer, you can pick up a form and guidance from the court.
Find your local county court using the Ministry of Justice court finder.

I live in Scotland and I believe the FTT is the way to go for unprotected deposit claims. At least that's what I read and was the advice given here
