Athens is the only city to have been represented by three teams (Olympiacos, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens) in one season’s competition.0
-
It's London (Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs). See 2010-11 champions league season, possibly other seasons too.0

The Athens 3 were all in the Group stages in 2003/04
AEK Athens bottom of Group C
Olympiacos bottom of Group D
Panathinaikos 3rd Group E
So none made the knock out stages.
But,
What about London - 2010/11. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham?
London is the only city to be represented in the knockout stage by three teams in the same season when Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all progressed to the first knockout round in 2010–11
Arsenal knocked out by Barcelona in 1st round.
Tottenham knocked out by Real Madrid in Quarter Final
Chelsea knocked out by Man Utd in Quarter Final

they've reworded question 3, probably to address their error:
"Name one of the cities which has been represented by three clubs in one UEFA Champions League season"
therefore Athens and London are both correct??====================================
