Athens is the only city to have been represented by three teams (Olympiacos, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens) in one season’s competition.

The Athens 3 were all in the Group stages in 2003/04
AEK Athens bottom of Group C
Olympiacos bottom of Group D
Panathinaikos 3rd Group E
So none made the knock out stages.

But,
What about London - 2010/11. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham?
London is the only city to be represented in the knockout stage by three teams in the same season when Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all progressed to the first knockout round in 2010–11
Arsenal knocked out by Barcelona in 1st round.
Tottenham knocked out by Real Madrid in Quarter Final

therefore Athens and London are both correct??
