Good morning everyone.
I am 25/25, target day, for yesterday please cathybird. However, unless I've miscounted if I carry on 'til the end of the month I will reach my annual target with a month to spare 😊 so I'm giving it a go. X3 -

XIf I carry on until the end of the month I get the full set of smilies so I'm aiming to do the same.
I've been thinking about my approach for next year and am going to keep setting my target at 21 because it works for me. Something about it motivates me because it just feels achievable. However, I'll probably informally aim higher than that, because that's how it's always worked out in practice, and I do like getting the full set of smileys. I don't want to give up alcohol altogether but three to four days a month is probably about right. I've decided not to drink wine at home at all, except at Christmas and on my birthday, because I always feel so tired the next day if I do, but I like the odd cocktail (g&t, margarita) and don't find they make me feel drained in the same way so will as a rough rule of thumb have cocktails once a fortnight or so, aiming to stick to three at the most each time. The exception is if I go on holiday, and then I won't worry so much, though I will still aim to reach 21 days in the month at least. That's the approach for next year! And hopefully after that too.

Some brilliant scores coming in already . I really think the thread has been inspiring during lockdown. Who'd have thought we could drink less than average. 🤔😁
I fleetingly considered having a drink tonight as I'm feeling pretty despondent about the new tiers. I'll get used to it but I really had hoped we could go back to meeting in small groups as we could between July and October. That was bearable and I was getting used to that.
15/10 AFDs please Cathy

Thank you cathybird. I see that you very quietly exceeded your monthly and annual targets some days ago, well done 👏.
Your approach to drinking next year sounds very similar to my own plans. I too don't want to give up drinking (I like it😉) but two maximum three drinks on 3 or 4 days a month (holidays excepted) is about right. XI feel a bit despondent about today's announcement too maman. We will probably not be able to see our daughter, SiL and baby granddaughter at Christmas because if they bubble with us and her brother that will be three households so they won't be able to see any of SiL's family. I was hoping we would be able to see them just before or just after the bubble five days but we can't now😟.3
