    Hello all
I'm back in the land of the living.... just :D. I slept most of yesterday and woke this morning with what feels like a bad hangover . I managed to eat half a piece of toast and a small jacket potato yesterday so I suppose that's one way of losing weight ! It's strange that my late DM, myself and DD all suffer with stomach problems, perhaps it's hereditary ?
We are waiting for a delivery this afternoon so we took the old TV to the tip and then went on to Al*is this morning for the usual culprits and had my weekly fix of the firemen, should be "fireboys" they look so young :rotfl:. I bought DD some of her favourite flowers as she deserves a treat and Mr Fix It put a garden flame thrower in the trolley..... no wonder my shopping bill is so large
We have to do a school collection later as DD and SiL both have parents evening. I expect the DGC will burst through the door, starving as usual :rotfl: We will have bacon, sausage, hash browns and egg ect....for tea, but I don't know if I will have the same, I will wait and see how my tummy feels later.

JackieO I hope you feel better and can enjoy your holiday. I hope you will be thoroughly spoilt.
TA and Nelski thank you for caring :A:A
Hugs to Poppy, Holly and anyone who is poorly or struggling.
    Take care all

I may have an explanation for missing posters along with the usual RL getting in the way.
I have had my *P address banned twice in the last 2 months : ( & no I don’t THINK I was a naughty girl. However both times it took several days & I was persistent in trying to get unbanned as I do love reading everyone’s posts. Maybe other missing posters couldn’t spare the time or cba’d.
I now have new posting rules for myself - shorter & fewer posts, fewer emojis & clearing browser history every week. Hopefully that will help.

Sorry to read about the many illnesses - I am sending gentle (((hugs))) to all who need or want them.

Life here is ticking along - DSis has been living with us for over 10 months now & I haven’t throttled her yet :p The indoor decluttering is at a standstill but the garage decluttering is going strong. I have been making lots of unusual hm soups but ‘touch wood’ have not concocted anything inedible :rotfl: Apart from colds we have all been reasonably healthy.

    Have a great holiday JackieO : )

Lovely to 'see' you again SD - and welcome back.

The nurse arrived just as PopMaster started, and she brought a male trainee with her. Anyway, she confirmed that DM has oral thrush which goes a long way to understanding why she's reluctant to eat and drink. The nurse rang the GP who wrote a prescription out right away for Nystan which I collected.

Now I'm waiting to hear from the smoke alarm engineer. I'm longing to close my eyes but dare not, think I'll try reading a book.

The sun is out, the wind is high and I'm really enjoying having Dire Straits playing in the background. I haven't listened to their music for far too long, it brings back some happy memories of my time in Newcastle. Mark Knopler's mum was the head teacher of the Jewish Day School in Gosforth and I knew her slightly. Lovely memories!

Afternoon all. Quiet day today here. Yesterday DS took John to a model railway exhibition in Nailsea. He enjoyed the trip out and they also had breakfast in the 'spoons there.

Today we walked up the local shops and bought some birthday cards. This afternoon I will be knitting and John is doing some railway modelling on the coffee table. We are aso finalising our Tosco grocery order for Wednesday.

Well hugs to all. Jackie O hope you feel better and can enjoy your holiday.
