I stupidly decided to clean the keyboard of my laptop while it was switched on.
Instead of the screen being vertical, it's horizontal. The taskbar is at the bottom of the screen, which is correct, but the Start button is vertical, instead of horizontal, and the icons likewise. Also, the mouse is behaving peculiarly too.
Please...................can somebody tell me how to put it right?
TIA

Hold down the CTRL, ALT and up arrow key to reset the screen.
The Taskbar should be draggable to bring it back to what is the "correct" bottom of the screen - if it isn't, right-click on it and untick "Lock the taskbar".0 -
If Ctrl Alt up-arrow doesn't work, try it with down-arrow and left- and right-arrows too. Computers vary slightly how they rotate the screen.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Hopefully you've got it back straight by now but if ctr+alt+↑ doesn't work then just right click on the desktop and go to 'Display Settings'.
Be aware if you try this just to see if it works that it also flips your mouse directions which can seriously do your head in
