I pad update today

I have today updated my i pad to version 12.2. Using Safari as my browser. When I click on any of the blogs that I have saved to my favourites, when the blog name appears at the top of the screen, before the name of the blog, it now says not secure. I use Safari and my internet has a password so that should be secure. This has only appeared today after the upgrade.
Anyone had this experience and what should I do? I don’t want to compromise my i pad but I am not entering any important information on these sites, only reading blogs.
Anyone else found this and what advice can you give me?
Many thanks

Mines been telling me that all sorts of websites I’ve been using for years are ‘not secure’. I’m ignoring it.Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0

Has that only happened to you since you did an update Jackieblack?0

Its just flagging up that the website isn't served over HTTPS so you wouldn't want to put in your credit card details for example. Secure websites continue to show a padlock as usual. More and more websites use HTTPS these days so browsers (including Chrome and Safari) are now making it clearer when a website isn't on a secure connection.

So Colin79666, You feel there is no risk to my i pad from browsing these sites?
Thanks for you prompt reply.0 -
Same risk as there always has been, just the risk is now pointed out in the address bar.
As long as you are just browsing and not entering in login information or personal/financial details then there is no risk really (in theory someone could have intercepted and modified the page but very unlikely).0 -
Thanks for the reassurance.0
