Well, it's possible. But quite often they just send you the application, which isn't the same thing, or they can send an agreement that doesn't conform to the standards required under the CCA. SOmetimes the agreement looks fine but doesn't include the relevent clauses.

When did you last make a payment. Someone mentioned that the debt was statute barred. If it is, it doesn't matter what they've provided you with. You can still tell them to bog off

So don't panic just yet. ;)
  • thanks. i will hopefully pick it up tomorrow and will post it on here
  • Also just wondered if its normal practice for it to be sent under special delivery??
  • Nothing to report as yet, the idiots at teh post office depot said they would take it to the main post office for me to collect. I got there at 5.10pm and it wasn't there. It can wait until Saturday now.
  • how old is this debt?

Just a quick question - with regards to the timescales - from the first letter someone said they legally have 12 days to respond - is this 12 working days or does it include weekends?

    Thanks, Josh
    Have a nice day. :)

It is 12 working days - that does not include weekend, so allow 12+2 days.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
