Pollarded oak tree

Hello,
We had to have an oak tree in our garden heavily pollarded in late summer last year because a large bough fell down (weak branch union). Now the tree has leaf buds but they haven't started opening yet, and I've noticed other oak trees in the area are starting to come out in leaf. I'm wondering if it's died?

I'm sure it's OK, if buds have been produced then it's alive.
I heavily pruned a flowering cherry and it flowered a little later than other trees in the area.0 -
It will be fine. Oak are one of the last trees to leaf-up. They bounce back well from major surgery; just more slowly than some other trees0

Phew, thank you. Hopefully it'll come out in leaf when it's a bit sunnier!0

Still a bit early for oak round here.
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0
