    OP, are you saying you want to the HMRC to pay you the 45p a mile you drove at work? rather than the tax difference between what you are allowed to receive and what you are paid? If the former, HMRC won't pay your mileage allowance - your former employer owes you that if it was contractually agreed. You need to be claiming from them. HMRC will only sort out the taxable element of the allowance.
