House won't sell should we try to rent?

House has been on the market for a year with only a handful of viewers.
We're considering renting...what do we need to do to prepare it for renting? I've been googling but can't find much solid advice.
Thanks

There is ALWAYS a reason why a house "won't sell".
Are you getting viewings?
If it's because of an issue with the property itself, rather than simply being too expensive, then why won't it affect rental demand, too?
If it was a good rental prospect, then you'd be getting demand from BtL purchasers.0 -
over priced simples"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Enter it into a property auction and move on with your lives. If you let it you could soon find yourself paying two mortgages if the tenant stops paying the rent.0

Frth I don't think you will get anywhere without posting the link to the listing.

But a BTL brings that risk that a tenant could do this as well as trash the place"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
