I don't dislike it. Some good suggestions above.

If staying, I would make that bottom window a bay window and add a porch. If selling, just a couple of bay trees or something either side in nice pots.

Only paint the front door if there are other colour doors around. If everyone else's are still black, leave it black.

Don't like the mismatched bricks so agree with AdrianC and think about rendering the front.

Not sure I'd widen the driveway, it looks like a small house, but it could do with replacing. But I'd not do that to sell as it'll cost thousands. Just leave a car on it when having viewers and they'll never notice it anyway.

I’m doing my place up to sell I’m getting lots of the outside cleaned up incl lintels, Fascias guttering patio and all other pacing chemically cleaned plus repaired etc. Also as other poster mentioned block paving lifted in areas it’s sunk and cleaned plus sealed with resin. Total cost in SE £500. Company I used was really helpful in spotting things that needed doing I hadn’t even thought off. Agree it’s not a bad looking house but needs some plants.

Thank you again for the responses, lots of good tips here that we've already started looking into.

Yes completely agree that you only really see the front of house when you are going in and leaving which doesn't really bother me but I do think the appearance is putting off potential buyers.

Also agree that too much roof is a problem but struggling to think what to do about, it is the bathroom under that bit of roof so not sure about putting in a velux.

A velux in the bathroom would be a great addition, depending on layout. Any other pics or floorplan?

Your neighbours appear to have done it so ask them how effective it is.
  • If I was staying there, I'd want to sort out the mismatched bricks at the front - either by getting a brickie in to do a proper job, or replacing it with a bay or french window.

I'd also want to get the drive nice and flat - brickweave is an option, as well as that stuff that's like resin with aggregate in it or whatever it's called.

I love light, so if there was any possibility of getting a velux or similar window in, I'd do that.

For sale? Trellis on the crappy brickwork with something flowery climbing it, jetwash the drive, manicure the lawn, get the roof cleaned.

Nice views from the front even with 1/2 blocked by the hedge

Any plans for developing that area the farm looks abandoned and the livery won't need it all.

Shame the front window was not bigger and lower to make use of the view.

I like the shower you have looks great.
BUT NO bath only a shower won't be helping.

    What's the pub like?

I see now the drive is too short to go tandem.
As next door have done the block the concrete does contrast
a compromise might be just do the path.

now the weather is improving sort out the back, fence and shed need a paint.
