My Brother and I are sorting out my parents estate, our Dad passed away in 2015 and my Mum in December
We are sorting out the estate at the moment and found a letter dated 2019 posted to their address (which was rented out while Mum was in a care home) from Morgan Stanley addressed to our Dad
It says he has a previous share balance of 878.4050, plus shares automatically purchased at 2.73 making his current share balance at 881.13. The RPT price to Nasdaq is 91.46550. It also says how much his dividend was $364.54 and it also says that Morgan Stanley was an agent. As an aside Morgan stanley shares trade around the $44 mark
We have given this letter to our solicitor but how do we find out more about these shares? How much are they worth? Is it worth recovering them (we realise that we have to anyway for tax purposes)
Thanks for reading

Morgan Stanley among other things is a broker. Are you sure Morgan Stanley is the share holding and not just the broker? I get regular Morgan Stanley statements for a Citigroup holding (where the stock symbol is C) . Is there anything on the statement to indicate a stock symbol other than MS which is the Morgan Stanley symbol.0

Couldn't you just contact Morgan Stanley and find all this out?0
