Travel credit cards

Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong forum, please let me know if I need to move the thread.

I have been looking around for a credit card for travelling and I just wanted to double check a few things, any help would be tremulously appreciated.

I have been looking at the natwest credit card to keep things simple, you will have to replace the "DOT" in the URL with a "." and remove the space between https and personal as it wouldn't allow me to post the direct link, https:// personal.natwest DOT com/personal/credit-cards/the-natwest-credit-card.html

As far as I can see, there aren't any foreign transaction fees, (It says "No foreign transaction fees" and as far as I can see in the actual terms its down as no fees as well).
It looks like there would be fees on cash withdrawals, which I'm fine with, in order to keep the card with natwest.

So, if I took out this card, there wouldn't be any charges to pay with chip and pin, magnetic strip, contactless, etc while abroad, the money would just switch currency at whatever mastercard is swapping currency for at that point with no additional fees, correct?

It's not as good value as something like Clarity , where you would avoid the cash fees.

There will also be interest to pay on any cash withdrawals, but other than that, you have it right.

The clarity also has interest on cash withdrawals, no? I don't think its possible to find one without, because they don't make any money on cash withdrawals. The only thing you can do is pay it back on the same day. I think then clarity won't charge you at all.

The best travel credit card at the moment is Barclaycard Platinum Cashback Plus which charges NO interest on overseas cash withdrawals (as long as you pay in full each month).

It's always best to read the appropriate MSE page first!

You could always get a different account for cash withdrawals - Monzo, Starling, Revolut etc.

Correct - and it gives a small 0.25% cashback on goods and services AFAIK.
