You just have to shop at Lidl - you don't have to like it...

I think they must be phasing it in. Lidl West Wickham took American Express a few weeks ago, though the staff didn't know it was possible. Lidl Croydon Church Street wasn't taking Amex a few days ago.

Anyone noticed that Amex contactless limit is higher than £30, certainly in Aldi. I'm up to just over £49 in two Aldi stores and contactless works. I was alerted it to by an Aldi shop assistant when I had a spend just over £30. Haven't tried it over £30 elsewhere though. Not Moneysaving, other than I do most of my shopping in Aldi, just an observation. Amex website and everywhere else I've checked says £30 limit.
