OK, long story but it appears we (or rather DW) has been talked into going to Lindos next year .. my part in this operation is to accompany her and pay all the bills ... oh, and to look hunky on her arm (in my dayglo orange thong and pink crocs).
Given that I am not really a beach person can anybody suggest what else there is to do there .. day trips, restaurants, brothels, galleries etc.

I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!

Sorry, but there are NO day trips, restaurants, galleries etc in Lindos - ONLY brothels
Seriously though Lindos is excellent, some great bars and restaurants (Marias my fave, very traditional). Pefkos is just along the road and Lardos a little further and up the coast Faliraki is worth a trip, even if just to see the posers in their dayglo orange thongs and pink crocs :rotfl:

Rhodes town is really nice too -especially the old walled bit of the city, lots of little windey cobbled streets with shops restaurants and bars, some with roof terraces and lovely views over the city. There's also a nice big harbour full of huge cruise ships:nice to sit enjoying a beer looking out over it. There are lots of "romantic ruins" of the greek classical nature too if that's your thing -we went with our teenagers, though and it certainly wasnt theirs...much preferred sniggering at the orange-thonged posers.... :rotfl:
There were lots of nice restaurants in and around Lindos -can't recommend any specifically but we ate out daily for a week and didn't have a bad meal once.0
