Thanks - my son is a lot better although I'm sure he will get the ice cream cones out later and insist that he needs one for his sore throat .......... I wonder how long he can string me along with that one :rotfl:

Oh you've seen my son then ................

last night when I took yet more washing out to the garage and retrieved some of the 'tumble dried stuff' I got back in to see him holding a cone - the cupboard door was shut and on inspection he had put it all back in the box - he was holding the cone and doing the licking motions going 'that ou, that ou' buy the freezer - meaning 'that one, that one' ............... so of course I caved in and he was a happy man THEN as he sat happily on the bottom stair licking away I had a knock at the door - it was DH - he decided to surprise us and come home early (he's been staying at work til really late this week doing overtime - its there so he does it as not always there) and low and behold his son is yet again scoffing another ice cream - I know that when he wakes up he will be after it again - I can't say no - my throat is hurting like mad at the moment so I really feel for him - bless - we are their slaves ................... some silly bloke told my husband that 'they come to live with you' ............... urmmm no - we are their slaves even at 2 - in fact especially at 2 !!!!!!

Wouldn't have it any other way - things could have gone so differently for us when he was younger

Ice cream is by far the best thing for sore throats. Never mind calpol and all that, give the little fella ice cream.

I think I'l be joining him - I can hardly speak - throat so sore - its awful !!!!!

I used to buy 6 tescos cornettos for £1 but then they put them up to £1.48 - the cheeky sods in just a week - so I brought 21 'party cones' - ie.coloured cones for 88p and basic normal vanilla ice cream for about 50p - money saving or what ?!?!?!?!?!

He loves to sit up on the work top - he actually requests this and loves watching me 'make' them - bless bless bless - I guess its more personal - he can go to the cupboard and get the cone and 'the mommy' scoups the ice cream in
