Initially got up to go to the loo - got frostbite - its freezing - got back in bed but too cold to go to sleep - DH snoring away.
Then my mind came to life and started thinking that today we are paying off £900 on the credit card and then the balance will be ZERO !!!!! very excited - that just leaves £2000 to pay back to my mum - she lent us the money for the building work we had done in the summer - we would have saved up but she insisted we get it done as soon as possible - we've made our downstairs all open plan - its perfect for keeping an eye on our 2 year old son and I hated my kitchen before but thats had a total makeover.
My dishwasher is on and I'm about to strip the beds and put the washing on.
I'm very excited today - starting my 'liquid' diet - smoothie for breakfast then soup for lunch and dinner - made a huge batch last night - not cabbage soup but made with a chicken breast, carrots, potatoes an onion and a stock cube - yum!!!! just can't have lashings of bread and butter with it - my downfall - I love white bread - but if you've seen what its done to my waistline not so good.
Aquafit at 9.30am - can't wait - haven't been able to exercise for a few weeks as I broke my little toe - then taking son to doctors and then onto to a soft play area and meeting a friend there.
Back for the afternoon for his sleep and at this rate I'll be joining him too - but feel surprising well.
Hows everyone else doing this Friday?

Hey DB
If you're going to wake up early, this is the way to do it! Thats brilliant, you're going to have a lovely day! I'm good too, too sleepy still to be *quite* at your level, but my coffee is half drunk, so I'll catch you up soon!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Its weird - I know I'm not totally debt free yet - but I am to the authorities if you know what I mean - mums cool - pay me back as and when she said but I really want to get it paid off by the end of the year and start next year afresh - this has been a pig of a year what with one thing and another - I'll be glad to put 2007 behind me. I do feel good - like I could streak down the road or something!!!!
Just had to venture out and take my husband to the train station - its minue 3 outside he defrosted car and warmed it up etc while I bundled son into loads of clothes - he would not be parted from his ice cream - yep thats right he was scoffing his ice cream on the drive to the station - don't get me wrong I don't usually give him ice cream for breakfast (he's eating shreddies as we speak) but he has got a really sore throat - he goes to the cupboard and gets a cone out and then stands be the freezer crying until I give in - it must be awful - we can take strepsils for sore throats they can't take anything - well I'm going to see if there is anything at the doc's later on - I'm giving him cough medicine but don't think that is helping much.0 -
Oh poor little lamb! No wonder you unwrapped it for him. Hope you find something medical that works too.
Understand what you mean about "debt free to the authorities" - what a great concept!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I was just praying that today of all days the car didn't break down - what would the AA have throught - I was driving in my dressing gown and slippers and my son was eating an ice cream ............... can you imagine!!!!!0

Streak! In this weather! Theres nothing in the world that could persuade me to do that (well possibly a cheque for £1,000,000 and a hot tub to jump in to at the end!) Anyway my birthday suit needs ironing, I couldn't possibly let people see me like this.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

Give the little chap some calpol. Paracetamol is excellent for sore throats (I had tonsilitis 4 weeks ago, so I know) and I hope he's better soon. At least if you take him to the doctors you can get him some on prescription for free.0

Thanks Cranky40 - I'll give him some calpol now - our doctor won't give us a prescription for calpol - I got my husband to ask a couple of weeks ago for it - my son had had a cold for over a week and it wasn't shifting - so I sent them to the doctors - he didn't give him anything at all ............. oh a bit of cream for his leg (he has excema sp?) behind his knee's.0 -
Morning blimey you do sound chipper.
Well done on paying your card off today must be a fantastic feeling. Don't forget to close the account
I can't wait for the day I tell MBNA exactly where to go and hopefully it won't be too long.
Hope your little one feels better soon.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Well I'm back again - totally Knackered - aquafit was a killer - I didn't realise how unfit I'd got in those few weeks I took off for having a broken toe - think I'll cancel the circuit training on Sunday morning - that is unless they have an ambulance on standby. Son is feeling so much better thanks Cranky40 for the calpol thing - don't know why I didn't think of that before - he really perked up just after I gave him that - we then went onto this soft play area and met our friends there - got home here about 2.30ish.
I feel so much happier just knowing that I don't owe Morgan Stanley AKA Goldfish anything - can you imagine what I'll be like when I've paid my mum off ............. it'll still be blue and white stripes all the way for us though.
My son fell asleep the moment I put him in the car so I've a little while to surf around on the net - ie. this website - must check out the freebies website too0
