Posted these on crafting for christmas, they look easy enough I'm going to have a go
Apparently they are painted pebblesNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
Thanks for these suggestions. I particularly like the pebbles.
Sadly, my skills are limited to knitting, and I'm not a sewer!
I was lucky with the Santa keys - I work for a firm of solicitors, and managed to acquire more than 40 large old keys from our estate agency side!0 -
The pebbles would be so easy
Paint pebble white, might need couple of coats
Add black dots using wrong end of a small brush dipped in paint
Paint an orange triangle for the nose.
Dry
Seal with clear nail varnishNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
I was just thinking about this myself as our playgroup one will no doubt be coming up soon. I was thinking about mobile phone holders - as in a simple sock shape with father christmas glued on by the kids, but then remembered something my mum did for my Christmas school fayre when I was in Juniors school.
Take a box of matches, cut enough felt to cover 3 sides (not the striking side) and glue on, cut enough for a roof, windows, a door and a chimney. Glue on. If you want to you can stitch a cross on the windows to look like window panes. Use different coloured felt and it looks like a little village when you have the whole lot displayed. Very useful and people can reuse them to - just by refilling them with matches!
Charge maybe 3.00?? I remember that my brother and I used to do our present shopping at these - so it might be an idea to keep some things priced so children can buy them.
At the last fayre I went to - now my kids have reached that age there was jewellery, books, sweets all sorts sold by various store holders. Why not put out a request in childrens bags to see if any parents have any hidden skills that they're using?Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0
