No quarterly bill received after 7 months

Options
I switched to Great North Energy in September 2019 on MSE's recommendation and opted to pay quarterly by cheque. Despite sending them regular meter readings I have not yet received a single bill after 7 months.
I’ve emailed several times and have been awaiting a response from my latest communication for five days. Although I can wait a bit longer, I’m concerned that their apparent inefficiency indicates anything more serious and they won’t suffer cash flow problems due to non-billing of customers!

Just keep sending them the meter readings, make sure you keep your own records and ensure that you've got enough in the bank to pay the bill when it comes.

You dont actually need a bill to work out how much you owe, you can do that yourself using a spreadsheet - you wont then get a nasty surprise when it does actually appear.

However, all that said, how do you give a meter reading and have you checked your on-line account to see if there are bills/statements sitting there that you haven't looked at. Most accounts are on line and they dont actually send paper bills anymore unless you pay extra.

Have you asked for a bill, either by phone, e-mail, text or even snail mail. Have you checked whether e-mails from them have been junked as spam.

  • Thanks for the suggestions. I have checked emails and my GNE account but no sign of any bills yet. I'm preparing for a whopper!
