Hello everyone
I had my assessment in February and two days ago I find out on my online journal that they have placed me in the LCW group. I phoned them and said I should be in LCWRA? group. When I was on income support I had sever disability premium but I was also a carer to my son. He lost his PIP assessment last September and now we have appealed. Anyhow I was told to ask for a mandatory reconsideration for LCW on my journal. Since two days it's been on no one has replied to it.
I have two questions;
How efficient are they in responding to my journal request for mandatory reconsideration posted on there?
Secondly, is there any hope I get transferred to the other group that has no work related activity and more importantly more money.
I have neurological problem, incontinence, EUPD and associated depression and anxiety.

Journal messages may not be answered very quickly, so not the best way to register a mandatory reconsideration.
This link is to Government site on mandatory reconsideration process.

Given that you are challenging a health related decision which has decided that you can perform some work related activities, you really need to challenge the decision in the best possible way. Sending a journal note does not appear to be the best way. I cannot see that sending a journal would allow you to provide the evidence, which would enable a Decision Maker to change the decision that has already been made.
What you should be aware of, is that the assessment outcome that you should be in the LCW category, is most likely to have been advised by the medical professional who assessed you. For a Decision Maker to decide that assessment outcome should have been LCWRA, they are going to want to see evidence to support this. So if you have Doctors evidence or support worker evidence about your health conditions and how this prevents you from doing work related activities, then you need to send this with any mandatory reconsideration request.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
Thank you for the reply. Yes you're right nothing can be uploaded to the journal.
I'll go and investigate the link you have provided, thank you.0 -
These are the LCWRA descriptors:

Plus schedule 9 (The same as ESA reg 35):

Have a careful look at the criteria. Why do you think you should have been placed in the LCWRA?
Why could you not cope with Work Focused Interviews? Would attending these pose a risk to your health?
Re your son's PIP appeal, this may be helpful:
