Colonial Mutual shares

My mother bought some shares back in the 80/90s through Colonial Mutual and now as she is in her retirement she would like to tidy up her affairs but cannot trace her paperwork for these shares.
I believe the shares have changed company a few times over the years, would anyone know who they are with now so I can contact them on my mothers behalf please?

A quick google search gives a wikipedia page saying they were acquired by Commonwealth Bank in 2000 and is now Colonial First State.

Your post says the shares were bought "through" Colonial Mutual, are they actually their shares or some other company?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
