UKPC Manchester POPLA - no authorised parking

Hi all

I'm struggling to figure out which POPLA template to use, so any advice would be much appreciated.

I have an allocated parking space (valid permit displayed) in an underground carpark beneath my building accessible by a fob. The other day the fob wasn't working (I assume low battery). I had to reverse out of the garage entrance way and park next to my building and leave my car to get assistance. I returned 3 minutes later to see that a PCN had been attached to my car! I took timestamped photos, which I sent in, appealing to UKPC for mitigating circumstances, I also complained that on the PCN the "observed time" was the same as the "ticket issued time".
This seems completely unfair, as I wouldn't even have had time to get a temporary parking permit from the concierge in that time... However, my appeal was refused saying that there was sufficient signage advising that a valid parking permit must be displayed at all times.

Any pointers on what template to use for POPLA appeal would be much appreciated.

All explained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Is this the sort of detail I should put in?:

I do know I shot myself in the foot by admitting I was driving in the appeal.

That's only one of the templates, one of several in the NEWBIES thread post #3.

People put them together, like bricks in a wall, as you will see what you simply search the forum for UKPC POPLA as your keywords. With very few exceptions, all questions here are answered merely by searching as it's all been done before.

You certainly did. You'd have won if you'd used our template on day 26.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
