Same case as in the Money Marketing article.
I assume that the Daily Heil took a bit longer to cover it because they were trying to continue dialogue with the FCA - "When This is Money raised to the FCA the fact the Complaints Commissioner had considered this point and still felt the FCA should pay the victim back £6,500, the regulator said it had no further comments to add".
As Reaper says, the FCA has refused to pay up so it isn't actually a straw to grasp at all.
People who hand their money to clone scams generally lose their money with no compensation, and this is the case here.0 -
