OneSelect and Together Hell Advice
Options
Lots of background.
I inherited a house last year. Electricity was with EDF. They were taking the mickey with estimated readings following the house becoming empty (ie, not using the ASHP to heat the place) Moved over to OneSelect and eventually agreed my final reading and account closed.
OneSelect use the "old" meter reading from EDF as an opening reading. Worth noting the meter still hasn't got close to this reading over a year later.
Tried to get Oneselect to correct things but just as that seemed to be coming together they folded. Together Energy are somewhat less than useless. Finally had enough and told them on 7th March I was going to the ombudsman and lo! they send me a bill saying I owe OneSelect's administrators £232.50. OneSelect actually owe me, give or take a penny for rounding, £271.39.
Email sent again, with list of meter readings, payments, etc. Reminded them of date of 8 week deadline.
Just had a very dodgy looking outfit call me. Barely let the phone ring. Hung up. Texted me. I looked up the phone number. A company called Opos. Turns out they're a debt collector. Who the F calls in the debt collector when the dispute is still open? I am livid to say the least. On the phone to TE. Initial call handler is neither use nor ornament and totally unempowered to address any of the issues. They don't appear to have a supervisor there today.
Little details. No one has been to look at the meter since before my uncle passed away. The house is 2 1/2 hours drive from me but every time I go to check on it I take a photo of the meter and I've kept all those.
Can anyone suggest how I get out of this pit of hell, particularly as I'm about to go and borrow some money to do the place up and don't need any crap on my unblemished credit history?

You gave them meter readings ??To EDf. One Select ,Together Energy .
<No one has been to look at the meter since before my uncle passed away.>
Why should they ??0 -
To confirm what it's telling them? The absence of any independent readings and an inability to believe me is the root of the whole problem.0
