My only objection to such threads is that they so often end with a question mark, when they ought to be a declarative statement.

I did question the OP's motives in a fairly light-hearted manner but for the record certainly didn't go as far as reporting the thread - it certainly wasn't completely blatant spam and as you rightly say, leaving the discussion intact retains the cautionary comments and allows people to make their own minds up.

If it was spam, then it should have been left up as the responses destroy it as an option and it completely backfires on the spammer (if they were one)

Maybe the scammers have created enough MSE accounts to get a thread automatically nuked by clicking the spam button all together. Thus preventing us from talking about their product.
