Estate Agent - Definition of Introduced

    It sounds like the estate agents have sourced potential buyers and arranged for those buyers to visit the property?

    That definitely sounds like an "introduction" to me !!!

    It absolutely sounds like if you were to sell to one of those people, that the agent would be entitled to their fee.

    Other posters have suggested that the agent also needs to take part in negotiations to claim a fee. I do not really see the basis for that. That goes a long way past any normal meaning of the word "introduction".

    When you instruct your new agent, you should get the new agent to agree in writing that they will not claim a fee if the property is sold to one of the buyers who arranged a viewing through the previous agent.
