Well Done, i think Lloyds are treating their customers unfairly. I think they are just trying to seem tough on normal customers to show regulators how strict they are and real culprits go unchecked.

I'm moving more than the sums mentioned in this thread in an out of my Lloyds account regularly
I've never had any issues - (as yet!)
So yes I do feel sorry for those who are having them who are just moving money into their own savings accounts elsewhere but clearly Lloyds are not doing this to all their customers so there must be some form of customer profiling going on.

    Banks can't win
If they instigate seriously good security everyone moans abut how its so inconvenient etc, while at the same time they are being pressurized to stop people being scammed out of money. Oh yes, and as we don't pay a service fee for our accounts they are doing this for "free".
  • Nothing is free in this world, they use free capital(people money) available to them and give other people product to earn interest like mortgage etc in return they provide you service as a reward.

    Hello,

I used to transfer from Lloyds bank to Halifax ( my main account) and all of a sudden Lloyds have blocked my account luckily I had no money in the accounts they are still frozen I will just leave to go dormant now. I will now only transfer between my Halifax and HSBC I in my experience find them way to over protective with there customers but what Lloyds bank are to understand is that it is our money what we do with it is our choice especially when you have no borrowing facilities with that bank.
