Parking Space - rented property

Hi all,
I moved into a rental property in November 2018 that had been advertised as including secure parking (in the form of an underground car park for which the gate was opened by a fob that only residents have). Since December 2018, the gate has been inoperable and I am therefore being provided with non-secure parking, if indeed my parking space is not taken up by another car.
Can anyone tell me what kind of financial recourse I have in this situation? I am paying for a benefit that I have not, for 4 of the 5 months I have lived at the property, been in receipt of.
I notified the letting agent as soon as this became an issue and the company who managed the building advised a workaround which worked, intermittently, for approx. 2 weeks in Dec and since then the gate has been fully switched off. I have spoken with the management company directly today who have advised they issued a notice on 20 March about repairs, which I have not received, and they do not state whether the car park will be out of action for any length of time, which in itself is another issue as on-road parking is not feasible.
I specifically chose a property with secure parking as a single woman who works very late/early hours, and due to the recent spate of car thefts in the area.

The management company is responsible to the leaseholder(s). Your landlord. So unlikely they will deal directly with you.
Keep reporting the issue, in writing, to your landlord, at the address for that purpose. By all means request a reduction in rent or one-off payment, but don't hold your breath.......

How very frustrating! can you write to the landlord and ask him to complain to the management co to try and speed things up?
you could also ask him if he'd mind you installing a parking post, they're relatively inexpensive and should prevent other people parking in your spot, even if it's not the most durable of deterrents. example here of what i mean: https://www.screwfix.com/p/streetwize-parking-post-700mm/4053r0
