Santander car loan

Hi
A couple of years ago I had a Santander car loan through a garage that, when I was filing the papers, I noticed included ‘car insurance’ which worked out about 10%.
This wasn’t for on the road car insurance (I already had a policy in place)
I now wonder if this was some form of hidden PPI
I’d be great full for any help (who should I speak to; how could I try a claim; is it something I could claim for through the PPI claim channels etc...)
Thanks lovely people- I look forward to hearing from you.

You can't claim (unless you've suffered a claimable event) but you can complain to the seller if you think if have been mis sold something.0

In the first instance you should contact the garage to ascertain exactly what this insurance was. If it was not PPI or they have no records of this finance any complaint you might make is at an end.
Note that if the finance was earlier than 2005, it won't matter whether it was PPI because car dealers were not regulated prior to that.
Satander has no liability in any case.0 -

PPI cant be hidden.A couple of years ago I had a Santander car loan through a garage
PPI stopped being sold many years ago. So, if you only bought a couple of years ago, then you would not have PPI.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
