  • Update on the payday loan complaints. I got an email from MoneyBoat on Thursday to say that they do not uphold my complaint, but as a gesture of goodwill to help me to clear loan they will write off the balance of £431. I think I paid around £1,400 in interest across two loans. I have written to ask if they will extend the £431 balance write off to also add another £250 as if they will I’d settle my complaint with them.
I’m just waiting to hear back as it’s been he Easter weekend and I called on Thursday and they said the man who had emailed me had just left (complete lie I think), but that he would be back on Tuesday. Let’s see what they say.

When Cashfloat offered me to he goodwill gesture it was originally for £250 and I went back and said I’d settle for a £350 goodwill gesture which they agreed too.

Here’s to hoping, to get this gone will be excellent and if I get the £250 I can clear some of Wonga with it.

    Happy Easter
  • Good stuff! :)

Hi Vanguis is the same and OD is £5k. I get paid on the last working day of the month, so just waiting for that then will get started. I will be paying Vanguis off when I get paid. I have most of the CF money left, but want to start it all on 30th, so wishing my days away.

I take it the interest has been applied to the Vanquis card in that case? If so, it's a pity.

What's 'the CF money', by the way?

I have been following your journey - you have an ambitious DF target and I hope you meet it. Just imagine how much money you will have to put away in savings once all the debts are gone. Great news about the goodwill money from the PDLs.
