Windows 10 and OneDrive

I have been trying to upload my ePub books to OneDrive - they are each individually stored in a separate folder with other stuff like the book cover. I’m on the most recent version of Windows 10.
The OneDrive app built in to Win 10 is unbelievably restricted - you can sync Library files (like documents) but other folders cannot be uploaded either by using Drag & Drop (nothing happens) or using the app’s + upload button. It only does individual files not folders.
Yet, web based access using a browser, Chrome, will allow the uploading of folders.
Any ideas why?

Are you sure you don't have a OneDrive (possibly still called SkyDrive) folder in File Explorer?
Drag your documents & folders into this folder and they'll sync.0 -
As above. Drag the folders into the Onedrive folder in Explorer and it'll upload them. Either that or you can go into Onedrive Preferences and add the folders you want to keep synced. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
