Help? I have an outstanding balance of £11K on a Virgin credit card. I am repaying at £200 a month but £140 is interest. I can't get another card with such a high limit and if I spread it over 2 or 3 interest free cards I won't be able to meet the mininmum repayments. I am new to this site but it is very important for me to become debt free. Can anyone make a suggestion as to how I can sort myself out.
HSBC loan £8071
Virgin Card £11,500
Tesco Card £5745
Goldfish £2379
Halifax £1326
HSBC £430

Either:
Cut your other costs down by living without luxuries in order to pay more to your credit card.
Increase your income through extra part time work on top of a full time salary.
Or both.
Best thing is to go to the Debt Free Wannabe board and post your full statement of affairs so people can advise how you can boost your income and decrease your expenditure, giving you more money per month to start attacking that credit card balance.Savings - £18,500 @ 5.22% Average0
