How much do you get to scrap a vehicle?

I'm getting rid of my 125cc bike later on this year, I'll finish paying it off in 2 months, I'll do my test then I'll scrap. How much do you get for scrap these days? Is it better to private sell? It's not in great nick. It's running fine, but it'll fail it's MOT due to the structure damage at the back (due to the shop putting the top-box on too far back, causing the whole back panels to crack). It could be done up, but not really cheaply.
Really not sure what to do with it. Not sure how much I would get for it scrapped, but I'm not sure if it would sell either

Weigh-in value of a 125 is going to be just about zero, because it weighs next to nothing.
I presume this is some off-brand Chinese disposable bike? So next to no value for breaking for parts, either.0 -
You’d at worst get the same and more likely be better off selling it marked as spares/repairs on EBay. You’ll get virtually nothing as scrap.0

No it's a proper Suzuki. It's just not in great nick since it's been outside in all weathers without a garage.0 -

Yeah I suppose. The only major problem is the back panels. Idk. I'll see how much I could get for it for parts, maybe even a bike for someone to practise on/winter bike.0 -
Which model is it? Exactly what parts are broken at the back and what are they made of? Wouldn't have thought the rear plastic panels were structural.0

Vids on UTube how to repair plastic panels on bikes.
If it runs OK and has an MOT etc, somebody'll buy it as a ride to work hack I'd have thought.
Got to be more than scrap.0 -
Someone will buy it as is to run it until the MOT fails or fix it up. Just list it honestly and see what happens.
It's running, so you'll get more than scrap value for it.0 -
I want it!! Not had a bike for years. Love to get one to mess about fixing up. Got a mate with a proper workshop lathe and welding etc, anything else I'd just botch with glass fibre or plasticine or leggo or summit.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Fibre Glass is old hat :- use the stuff from one of these kits - you wouldn't need much to fix the plastics on a bike. One tube would be enough.https://www.waysideadhesives.com/plasticrepairs0
