Help - Subject Access Request found no records

Options
Hi all

Just wondering where I go with this now. Two Abbey National Loans taken out in 1998 & 2002 I'm convinced I was sold PPI - problem is after all this time I obviously do not have copies of the original paperwork. I've written to Santander requesting the info via a Subject Access Request and they've stated that they have nothing on file. However, I'm still at the same address, and still have the bank account that the loans were paid into. Is there anything else I can do. I've looked on the net and a lot of claims companies claim that they can 'did deeper' than myself. Don't want to go down this route if I can do it myself. Is it worth getting my credit report history - would it show those two loans going back that far, and if so which company do I use?

Any advice greatly appreciated :D

    No.

    This is a lie, all they can do is send SAR letters on your behalf (if you are foolish enough to let them) and they'll get the same result as you did.
    Credit Reports only go back six years.

    Sorry but if you no longer hold sufficient records and neither do Santander then that is the end of the matter - a SAR gives you ALL the information a business have on you, a Claims company would only be able to request what you already have... keep in mind they were only required to hold your records for six years after the loans were settled.

    Credit report only goes back six years... even if it did mention a loan on there that still would not confirm if you had PPI so you would still be in the same situation I’m afraid.

    You received similar answers when you posted an almost identical query three weeks ago;
