Bulb WHD eligibility
The warm home discount is amazing help electricity wise.
Currently with SSE and previously with SP.
I keep going over bulbs WHD eligibility and are still not 100% confident if qualify.
I get pip+wtc+disabled element.
And I'm low part time earner <12k p.a.
If I thought bulb could honour the 140 WHD end 2019 or early 2020.
Then Id'e switch almost immediately.
Any mser's offer their knowledge.
I'm eco7 electric only let's say 6.5k p.a. Usage.
sse bills though obviously in advance have been averaging 81-85 per month though reduced DD to 60 over summer as I was always in credit.

Thanks I've been through bulbs page multiple times.
Part of my concern is I'm one of a few hundred thousand people yet to be auto moved across from PIP to UC.
Other suppliers specify PIP in their WHD criteria.
So not sure

I haven't swapped to bulb yet as I don't want to loose WHD as it's allowed me to use some winter heating all be it was mild during 2018 early 2019

I am on PAYG and sse bumped prices up today , so chose now to move , A: for cost and B: to gt timing right for next year WHD

The warm home discount is closed for the winter of 2018-19 and doesn't open again till September time.

So you could switch risk free and then closer to September check their eligibility and whether you'll need to switch away to get it.

Not ideal, but their website says they're looking to expand their eligibility criteria for the winter of 2019-2020.

Excellent points thanks i did notice bulb WHD eligibility to be expanded though plenty of time yet for the new criteria to be announced.
Risk free meanwhile is a positive way of moving to bulb.
I'll re consider once the initial bulb bill is past last week March possibly make 1st payment early April as I still have sse DD to pay meanwhile.
