Samsung A6 Tablet frozen locked screen

Mty Samsung A6 Tablet has suddenly got a locked screen which is frozen. It will not allow me to switch off or entry my password.. I have tried holding down the Volume and power up button both separately and together and nothing happens.Also I have tried swiping the screen with two fingers and it comes up wit password but it will not allow me enter my password. It just completely frozen. Any ideas please..

How long have you tried powering off? Sometimes takes a while to force a reboot

I have let the battery run out completely and have fully recharged, but still it comes up with a lock screen and also am unable to turn off so the battery continues to run down all the time. What has caused this is issue to suddenly happen and any possible ideas what my next step could be.Thank you.

Is it possible your tablet has been corrupted which could have caused the problem. Have you downloaded any apps or music recently, or put on anything illegal from an unsecured source, I do know a friend of mine that something similar happened a little while ago and he did have a Samsung Tablet. If that is the case I would not know how to start to resolve this issue except contact Samsung possibly. If you could unlock he screen somehow you could try deleting the likely culprit!!! Good Luck.

With the tablet powered off, try pressing the Volume Up + Power + Home Button simultaneously and hold until the Samsung logo appears.

If it works then you should a number of options to choose from. Use the up and down volume buttons to navigate and the Home button to select.

Some of the options are quite drastic but you may have no choice but to go for a factory reset and lose all your data.

I had exactly the same issue with my Samsung A6 tablet (so possibly it a common fault with that model). I took it into a Samsung Service Centre, The nearest to me was 15 miles away, and they unlocked it for me without any problem within 5 minutes. It might worth you looking to see what distance the nearest Samsung Service Centre is from your home..

I had the same issue so it is obviously is something that can happen with the Samsung A6 tablet. I took mine to the Samsung Service centre in Croydon and they unlocked my screen very quickly. When I asked if this was a common problem with this model they side stepped answering directly and waffled about suggestions including not using a cheap power lead only use the one supplied with you tablet.
