Guys I'm after some advise, regarding cancelled furniture orders messed up orders and now discontinue items.
I order 2 sofas for Harleys furniture shop in beginning Jan this year. Item was due to be delivered in Feb, got it all arranged booked annual leave and then it got cancelled 2 days before delivery as it was out of stock. I queried this at the time as both sofa where to have my chosen fabric on them. So surely they need to be made to order but was advised they where coming from stock.
Got another delivery date in March booked more annual leave but again got text informing me of delivery date and then 3 days before got told the delivery had been cancelled. Then get advised the order is wrong and needs to be re-written by the store. Because you've guessed it they need to be made to order. I was then told id need to contact the store. Why should it be my job to fix there mess and told the person on the phone that they need to sorted
I also demanded to speak to a manager got told that one would call me back next day. They did try and call me 5:30 but I was somewhere you don't get signal so missed the call. So another day has passed called back got another representative from there delivery team, at this point unbeknownst to me, my order still has not been re-done asked to find out what was happening and was advised they would look into he matter and manager would call me back
Friday comes the day item was suppose to be delivered, manger calls me and apologies nice but a little late. After few conversations that day, I finally get told that order cannot be redone, as they are "Discontinued" :mad::mad: Was offer option to by something else. Whats the point of that if id wanted one of there other sofa I'd have order that one. Manager could give mew no idea when there stock was discontinued, still cant understand why order had to go back to shop to be changed surely they should be able to make these amendments.
When I asked for a full refund + compensation for all the hassle not to mention the fact that sale prices that where on offer then ar'nt around now. I was advised that I can only get my money back.

1. Where do i stand on the fact the sofa where in stock when i order them and that had they been proceed properly most likely would have been delivered before they where discontinued.
