have you considered self funding and putting a small amount into a savings account to buy a new one if it breaks.
JL normally has 2 year warranty on it's electrical products which is good"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Is their any contents insurance policy where you live?
Have a look at the person possessions cover to see if it is within limits.0 -
I could maybe consider doing that yes I’m concerned if I did take out an insurance policy and had to make a claim, it would be a hassle trying to get the claim settled. Thanks0

It’s less hassle than self insurance - which is what I believe the OP was considerinmg.
Self insurance means you are the arbiter of claims and don’t require ID, receipts, police report.
The downside to self-insurance is if you need it on day 1 or week 1 before you’ve saved up.0
