Duplicate Debt On Credit File

I had a loan taken out from 118Money which I defaulted on due to unemployment. The debt was transferred to Lowell. I'm now paying the debt off through Lowell but my credit file is showing that I still owe the same amount of money to 118 and Lowell. Both seperate entries on my file. How do I get this fixed as surely I don't owe to both 118 and Lowell.
Many thanks

Have Lowell purchased the debt or are they collecting on behalf of 118?
If they have purchased it then the debt with 118 will show as closed and the amount will show on the Lowell account.
Was the account defaulted as well?0 -
It is perfectly normal for a debt that has been sold to a DCA, to appear for a second time on your report. The default date for both accounts should be the same though. You only need to set up a payment arrangement with Lowell.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
I assume they bought it as the amount I owe to Lowell has decreased but 118Money still shows the original amount I owed.0

The 118 account should be showing as closed and zero balance

Lowell are debt buyers, they do not collect debts for anyone else.
