Oh SO, what a pair of unmentionables....I feel gutted for you. I haven't got a mother any more so you can be my stand in....

  • SILVER OLDIE I am gutted for you. I have been thinking (hoping) all day that this time your DS and DGS really would come and visit you. I wish your DS could come to realise how much this upsets you. I just don't know what to say, words fail me re his lack of consideration. xx

It's felt much chillier today I agree OL. I put the heating on for an hour this morning and this seemed to keep the house warm enough until the last half hour or so. I think it's now time to pop the fire on! I seem to have got soft in my old age!

Silver Oldie - my heart goes out to you, your pain is coming across.

Sorry, I have nothing more to offer you and I'm too far away to grab some of your baking.

DM has slept most of today inbetween bouts of watching TV. The district nurse came about midday to give the injection and have a chat to DM. Upshot is that a mattress topper will be provided plus some kind of mat. Spending so much time sitting on one chair yesterday has made her tail end sore so she's fairly uncomfortable.

Flowers came from the Oz family, just at the very same time as the DN - never rains etc! Strangely they were delivered to an upstairs neighbour who then brought them down, surely three is a crowd?

I'm just hanging around, providing tea, food, sympathy, deletion of recorded programmes (23 episodes of Doctors , two each of Casualty and Holby City with three of University Challenge) and occasional adminstration of paracetamol.

Hi everyone....just been having a catch-up. Silver-Oldie...I was really hoping there would be a post from you to say you'd had your visitors. Don't really understand people at times.
I had little grand daughter to stay last night so her mum could have a good sleep....we had lovely cuddles, but she did not want to go back to sleep at 3am! DD told me to download 'white noise' onto my phone...it did settle her eventually but was driving me mad! Then it was 6am...then I dozed till half 7...it will be an early night for me tonight!
Down to my mums this morning with the baby to look after dad while mum was at church, then stayed for a lovely Sunday lunch with DD too. Had a nice lazy afternoon after I got home. Had a card and a lovely bunch of flowers from youngest DD and a card from eldest DD in Sweden....and a very nice little bar of chocolate called Plopp! Only a week and a bit now till I go to visit her.
Haha must be summer here in Northumberland...I can hear the ice cream van coming into the estate for the first time this year!

Good evening everyone , sorry I have been AWOL for a few days I made the mistake of watching a couple of netflix things.Had a message from Virgin to say my capped data limit was almost gone !!! so I have been rationing myself on my laptop. I honestly didn't know there was a capped limit as I hardly ever use my laptop to watch anything at all.

Only four more days to go then all will be back to normal and I won't be using my laptop as a tv anymore :)

I had a lovely Mothers day with my youngest DD and yesterday afternoon had a three hour visit from my eldest DD
been spoilt rotten by them both :)
Only one more week to go then I am off to the IoW for a spring break with the family.Fingers crossed it will be warmer than today .
At lunchtime Dd and two of the boys and I went into London to put some flowers on my Mums grave where my dear brother Davey is also buried which was nice, and the two shrubs we had planted last year and the bulbs are all doing well.

This afternoon DD and I have been vegging out on the sofa watching rubbish TV and just eating cake and nattering which was lovely (we even spotted a baby hedgehog at the cemetery going for a wander :)

Hope everyone has had a peaceful day today and those who have no longer gota Mum can remember some good memories instead.

Righ DD has just brought some coffee in so I'm signing off before I lose any more data .:)

Take care chums will be back mid week hopefully

    JackieO xx

    Thank you

Nanny, Nelski, everyone, if you lived nearer you would be more than welcome to cake

I worry dgs will be a stranger by the time he is old enough to decide if he wants to see us. OH isn't getting any younger and I would like him to have memories of his Grandad now not when the dementia has done its worst

JackieO I'm glad you're ok. I thought that perhaps you had gone to the IOW already...... just as the advance party you understand :rotfl:.

I think shall be having an early night as it seems we may have DGD early tomorrow as she has gone down with the dreaded lurgy like her brother :( That's not the type of sharing I recommend :D.
    See you all tomorrow
    nan xx
