Establishing Company earlier than required

Hi guys,

I need to setup a limited company, but won't actually do anything with it for about 4 months. However I want to establish it earlier so I can secure my name and arrange banking facilities etc.

My question is; If I establish online for £12 via companies house, are there any costs or disadvantages in establishing the company earlier than required?

Many thanks in advance.

Jack

Do a search for something like
setting up a dormant limited company

It's easy. There are a couple of things you need to do annually to file returns but they are trivial if you aren't doing anything.
  • Great thanks, I wanted to ensure my admin requirements were not onerous as a result, looks straight forward through the dormant solution and I just inform companies house when trading begins. Thanks again.
