March & April 2019 - Some Basic Court Statistics
Options

April Update: I've added in the April stats to the table below as well, for those who might be interested. The first row for each PPC is the March Stats, the second row is April's. A row will be left with just (0-0 0-0) if the PPC didn't have any cases for one of the months. If a PPC doesn't appear in the list, it's because they didn't have any cases in March or April 2019. A couple dates were not listed as the "data wasn't available", so the stats aren't completely accurate.
It seems there isn't much of a change in terms of which PPC's "do court" in a big way, although "Premier Parking Solutions" had a lot less cases in April.

A little while ago I was made aware of the www.parkingcowboys.co.uk Daily Court Listings page on this Forum, and was curious as to what a typical month might look like.
I took March 2019 as my month of interest, and logged the data available (except for Friday 29th March 2019, where the data wasn't listed), and thought some here might be curious too, although I expect a lot of regulars here already know the big court users.
Some of the bigger Court users were Civil Enforcement, ParkingEye, PCM, VCS and especially UKPCM as well as Excel, NCP.
Unfortunately the data doesn't include any win / loss information, which is probably the most interesting to know.
Hopefully the data below appears in a table-like manor.

A big if, but If all PPC cases were defended (not defaulted), with a hearing fee of only £25, and assuming - say - 2 hours spent reading and hearing the case, the judge would be effectively earning little more than the minimum wage once a few claim processing costs are subtracted. Wonder if that is sustainable and/or in the public interest?0

Confirms (albeit a snapshot) what we’ve come to believe is that UKCPM has taken over the mantle of being the country’s most litigious PPC from PE.
Just look at all those set asides being contested against CEL no doubt as a byproduct of their blunderbuss approach to unrestrained litigation on a large scale. That said, PE and UKCPM follow closely in their tracks.
Just 6 counterclaims in total in the whole month.
@ImNoExpert - nice readable and informative analysis. Thank you for doing that and posting results here. :TPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

A very useful list indeed
and may help others (me included) choose very wisely where to park although to be fair I avoid private car parks managed?? by Scumbags like the plague.

Thank you for that list

ImNoExpert .. thank you for doing this.
No surprise that UKCPM top the charts for scamming mainly residential sites.
Aided by the incompetent Gladstones.
Let's see what happens to them under the new CoP and appeals service. The IAS will be confined to the dustbin0
