Clarity Card Repaying Pending Transactions

I noticed while on holiday this month that cash withdrawals were going through as pending transactions and taking a day or two to appear fully on the statement. Unfortunately I also found out that both the app and the main website no longer allow repayments above the official balance. Even where you have interest bearing pending transactions. This means I have been charged interest on transactions I was prevented from repaying. Now it only amounted to 12p overall so I'm not that bothered but it does feel a bit scammy. Are they allowed to do this?

Rather than use the app or 'pay credit card' on the website just set up a new payment using pay a person - call it what you like put 772900 as sort code with 00000000 as account number and your 16 digit PAN number as your reference - you can pay as much as you like.
Just remember though if you do this - a credit card is not supposed to carry a credit balance so you may find your account blocked if you do so.
Just saying.0 -

In addition, it would be difficult to repay such transactions before they appear on the statement as you will not know the exact GBP figure to the nearest penny as the pending transaction amount can change.0 -

I have done the same thing as you suggest, every time I have paid this way the payments I have made have remained pending until the same time as the pending purchase, Ive always found pending purchases hang around on weekends but so do pending payments, so your way would be the correct way for op to pay.0 -
I made an error recently and paid a pending transaction. It was at the same time my bill was being processed. The payment was applied before the transaction. I ended up being in credit on the statement. Halifax didn’t say anything.0
