I have 2 wireless usb adapters.
could I se these to connect my laptop to the internet via my desktop PC.
If so, how?

Install one on each computer. Run the Network Setup Wizard on the PC, selecting "This computer connects directly to the internet and other computers connect through it." selecting the appropriate devices.
Same on the laptop except this time select "This Computer connects to the Internet through another PC" and select the Wifi adapter as the network connection for internet connectivity.0
