The DVLA responded in this manner:

"Information about registered keepers of vehicles can be released by the DVLA under the provisions of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 2002." and "Drivers choosing to park a vehicle on private land do so subject to the terms and conditions set out on signage in the car park. The need to contact individuals who may not have complied with these conditions is, in most circumstances, considered to be a reasonable cause."

So this is not a good sign I guess.

So this is not a good sign I guess.
Nope, it’s a template response.

Go back and ask if Alliance Parking have a KADOE contract with the DVLA enabling them to have access to RK data.

I worded it like this to avid that rubbish:
I would email the DVLA a link to ALLIANCE PARKING's website and state you want to know that they WILL NOT release DVLA data to this non ATA member?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The response from DVLA is:
"It may help if I explain that we would not be able to comment regarding a parking company having a KADOE contract set up with DVLA."
followed by some template response.

Would be hard to complain to them if they release the data and I'm not the keeper, right?
Anyway, do you think it is good idea to send scan of the PCN to hire company? They asked for it when I told them that I deny liability and that they can't charge neither me or uni.
• you need to know WHICH company asked for your info , they will usually include a scan of it if it was paper or a printout id it was electronic

I think you are asking the wrong department at the DVLA

It's a hire vehicle so only the hire company's details would have been obtained from the DVLA.

They might have to respond differently to a Freedom of Information request. Try them, it’s free of charge.
