Premier Inn Rip Off

Hi
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this issue
I seem to remember that Matin ran a campaign regarding call charges by Premier Inn some time ago and had some success in that once a booking had been made any call to the hotel was at normal national rates.
However, it would appear Premier Inn have now backtracked have now reintroduced call changes of 10p per min in addition to the national rate
Any chance of this being raised with them again by Martin’s team?
Regards

Sayno has most if not all the alternative numbers on their website.

One answer is not to book / use these companies and tell them why you won't?

Since 13 June 2014 it has been illegal for premium rate numbers starting 084, 087 or 09 to be offered for after-sales enquiries and issues. See Regulation 41 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Breaches of the regulations should be reported to the Citizen's Advice national Consumer Helpline by phone on 0345 404 0506, or via the complaints form on their website, for escalation to Trading Standards.

S6.1.d of said regulations also says:
These Regulations do not apply to a contract, to the extent that it is—
for rental of accommodation for residential purposes

That exemption is for rental of a flat or house for living in. The regulations do cover hotels and they must comply with them.

All the contact numbers on Premier Inn's own website appear to be 0333 numbers.

    https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/contact-us.html

However if I google Premier Inns the google display that comes up on the right hand side of the search results gives an 0333 number for customer service but an 0871 number for reservations. So it could be that the old telephone numbers are still out there on the net and the OP didn't use Premier Inns own site to look up the number
