Leeds Building Society Mortgage - HELP!

Hi

Does anyone know if contacting your employer is part of the acceptance process with Leeds?

My broker informed me this morning that the valuation has been booked but my application has only just gone to underwriting stage which I am confused at as I thought they didn't book the valuation until they confirm everything is OK on my end?

But anyway, I have given 3 months wage slips and bank statements to confirm employment, along with a copy of my contract just in case, and my broker has told me that this should be enough and they won't contact my employer, but after reading some of the threads on MSE I can see a lot of people have said they do contact your employer, the only reason I'm worried is that I had a terrible broker beforehand who delayed this whole process by a number of weeks, so i'm under pressure to sort things out, and as I work for a small private firm, there is only 1 official HR staff member who is now off work for 2 weeks!! so i am worried that if they need to confirm employment this will massively delay it again!

thanks
