Small payments system

Hi,

The running club that I'm involved with charge £1.50 per training session. The club has got bigger and so administering lots of small payments is taking more time.

Does anyone know of a system where for example members could be given a card (maybe including a barcode?) that they load up with funds (maybe £10 at a time in cash) then we can just scan their card at each session and the session fee just comes off the credit on their card?

No, but I think that sounds unnecessarily complicated ... and prone to technical difficulties, eg when the card reader inevitably stops working.

Why not issue cards with boxes on (like loyalty cards for a cafe), say £10 for 8 runs, and stamp / date them when a run is used?

Get some extra help on hand for the first few weeks, to sell the first batch of cards, and then monitor to see if you're going to have a mad rush on in 8 weeks time ...
