We have recently had our offer accepted on a building that is currently being used as a care home C2. The building was previously a house so the planning experts have advised us that it should be an easy process to move it back to a C3. Therefore we are currently going through the change of use process before the valuers go in. We were initially told that the valuers would be happy to value it once the second kitchen had been removed and the change of use has been granted. We are now being told they cannot value it to the residents are no longer there.
So my question is once you have gone through the change of use process to make a C2 a C3, when does it actually become a C3?
